The Mentalist Season 6 Episdoe 8 will bring the long standing Red John saga to a close at last. Last week it was revealed that CBI director Gale Bertram was the long anticipated serial killer. Or is he? According to Red John writer Jon Harper, you shouldn't count your dragons before they hatch: "You'll have to watch and see, but with The Mentalist, there's always another twist." We still haven't seen all the bodies from the explosion - could there be another Red John suspect remaining?
However, we can confirm that the Patrick Jane/Red John confrontation will finally take place in this episode. And as calm as Jane seems to be about the whole situation, the final confrontation is going to be action-packed. According to SpoilerTV "when Jane finally gets to face Red John, there is a lot more action than I expected involved. And it's a good thing." According to the spoilers website, the Red John saga's conclusion will give Patrick Jane a "second chance at life."
In terms of whats going to happen after the big Red John reveal, The Mentalist's attention will turn to trying to solve the Tiger Tiger case. FBI Agent Dennis Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar) will also play a bigger role: Dunbar was recently promoted to a series regular, according to TV Line.
