Jane and Lisbon’s future in ‘Black Hearts’ (6x21, preview)

Next week on “The Mentalist,” we have a story in “Black Hearts” that is going to get closer and closer to trying to answer one key question: Are Jane and Lisbon going to be getting together soon? We are at least at a time now when it is clearer that Jane wants to make a move, but he has to figure out just what this move is going to be.

As the synopsis for this hour reveals, there is a story-of-the-week plot here (or really the continuation of the kidnapping ring) that some people may be interested in. But, at this point in the season, we imagine that the larger focus is on the prospective relationship, and how Lisbon is going to make a huge choice when it comes to whether or not she is going to take off with Agent Pike:

“With time running out to save the victims of a kidnapping ring before they are transported overseas, Jane and Lisbon zero in on the criminal enterprise’s mastermind. Meanwhile, Lisbon decides if she will move to D.C. with Agent Pike.”

There is one thing to remember here when it comes to this “decision,” though. Even if Lisbon claims that she wants to move to DC, that does not mean that things are necessarily over between her and Jane. He is as creative a guy as things come, and the best thing for Simon Baker’s character could be is a challenge. He always tends to rise to the occasion, and by the time the finale airs, you may have all of the answers you are looking for.

6x20: ‘Il Tavolo Blanco’ and Jane / Lisbon drama (preview)

The next new episode of the show is entitled “Il Tavolo Blanco,” which just so happens to be a really clever way of saying “The White Table” in Italian. So look at that: The color theme continues! You can also see the full synopsis from this hour via CBS below:

“Jane’s freedom is at stake when a grand jury is empanelled to decide if he should be tried for the murder of Red John. Meanwhile, Lisbon tries to find out how Jane feels about the possibility of her leaving Austin with Agent Pike, and Cho and Abbott follow new leads in the human smuggling ring they recently uncovered.”

The situation that Jane has himself in now is a rather tricky one, mostly because he acted like Lisbon moving wasn’t a big deal … even though he knew in his heart that it was. He couldn’t bring himself to say the words yet, and that is all going to be up to figuring out now if he can. He’s not going to have a whole lot of time to that, so he better get to thinking fast about how to fix it.

The 'Silver Wings Of Time' Starts Ticking for Patrick Jane (6x16, 6x17)

After setting traps for the art thieves, Patrick Jane is ready to take up another task in the The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 17 'Silver Wings of Time'.

In the last episode 'Violet,' Jane and his colleagues plan a sting operation to nab a notorious group of art thieves. But at the end, things turn ugly and the squad members are seen risking their lives while dealing with the dangerous group.

Meanwhile, beautiful Teresa Lisbon is seen flirting with the new FBI agent Marcus from the art squad (a bit of heart-ache for Jane and Lisbon fans).

However, fans must have enjoyed the cute moment when a radiant Lisbon in her red cute pajamas come downstairs to wrap a blanket on Jane.

During the mission, the 'no formality guy' Marcus asks Lisbon for a romantic date.

Meanwhile, it's time for Jane to shake up and come out from his dark past or soon he might let go the love of his life, Lisbon, whom he cares for a lot.

Moving over, there is some exciting journey ahead for Jane, who was assigned by the FBI to solve a case in order to save a man from execution.

In an official spoiler synopsis released by CBS, Patrick Jane will have only two days to save an innocent man who is on death row in the episode 'Silver Wings Of Time', entertainment news website ontheflix.com reported.

Jane's clock-ticking voyage through the next 48 hours for saving the death row inmate by uncovering the dark secrets behind the gruesome crime seems to be a thrilling package of entertainment for The Mentalist fans.

Will Jane be able to solve the case by running against time and can he offer the silver wings of freedom to the soon-to-be executed man?

Viewers can also expect a little flirty drama between Lisbon and Marcus in the upcoming episode.

The Season 6, Episode 17 will be directed by James Hayman and the writers are Tom Szentgyorgyi and Rebecca Cutter. Shannon McClung (Agent Collins), Jud Tylor (Mae Feinberg), John De Lancie (Edward Feinberg) and Oscar Torre (Luis Cruz) will be the guest stars for the same.

The Mentalist Season 6, 'Silver Wings Of Time' will be aired on Sunday 9 pm on 13 April on CBS.

A look at ‘Silver Wings of Time’ (6x17, preview)

When is “The Mentalist” returning to TV? After starting to get used to having new episodes every Sunday, you better be willing to wait again. The only good news here is that this time around, you are waiting for only one week.

When the show returns on April 17 with “Silver Wings of Time,” it will be telling a story that certainly has the makings of an emotional one. It is not an original idea at all to touch on a death-row inmate and the attempts of many to clear their name, but given that “The Mentalist” tends to give a twist for every story they present, you can most-likely expect the same thing here.

Not much is available on the inner details of this episode, but we can at least give you the short synopsis:

“Jane and the FBI take up the cause of a death row inmate who has two days to prove his innocence before his sentence is carried out.”

It is interesting to note that Pedro Pascal (Agent Pike) is not mentioned in the press release for this episode despite making his first appearance tonight and also his first attempt at romancing Lisbon. It’s possible that he could still appear (there’s no binding requirement for networks to disclose their recurring and guest cast), and they just didn’t want to give the outcome of “Violets” away. Regardless, we know that he has multiple appearances this season, so don’t expect that story to be over even if he is a no-show here.

Will Patrick Jane be the hero … again? (6x15, preview)

Nest week’s episode of “The Mentalist” is going to be a pretty darn big one, and there are a variety of reasons for that. Not only will “White As the Driven Snow” help to answer the question as to whether or not Van Pelt is going to make it through her kidnapping alive, but it is also going to show that to a certain extent, we are still dealing with an angry, vengeful Patrick Jane with a little bit of a violent streak.

This is in the end one of the more intriguing things about Simon Baker’s character: While there may be a number of instances in which you start to think of him as this awkward, comedic life force, Jane is also a killer. His unpredictability is what makes it a surprise that anyone in the FBI would want to trust him with a case, mostly because if one thing goes south, the blood could be on the agency’s hands.

While the synopsis below may not give away too much when it comes to the episode’s content, it is certainly still very valuable to check out:

“Grace is kidnapped by the killer who has been hunting former CBI members, but when the prime suspect appears to have an airtight alibi, Jane must rely on all his skills to locate her before time runs out.”

In between the synopsis and the promo, we believe that there are definitely reasons to be excited here about what could come up next. Let’s just hope that whatever it is, it helps to ensure that Van Pelt has a worthy exit to the series.

The Mentalist 2.0: 10 Things to Know About SeƱor Jane, Chief Lisbon and Life 'In the Future' (6x09 & 6x10 spoilers)

CBS’ The Mentalist begins a new life this Sunday at 10:30 pm/9:30c — life without you-know-who — and TVLine got a sneak peek at the first two episodes, titled “My Blue Heaven” and “Green Thumb.”

As previously reported, the action picks up two years after the events of last week’s episode, with Jane now in a very different place, spiritually and geographically — and with a new woman about to enter his life. Lisbon, Van Pelt, Rigsby and Cho also followed new paths in the wake of the CBI’s disbandment, while the FBI isn’t done just yet trying to get their hands on ol’ whatshisname’s killer.

All told, here are 10 teases from The Mentalist‘s upcoming episodes.
  1. Laying low on an island where, he says, only one other person speaks English, Jane’s Spanish is atrocious — as is his choice in breakfast beverage — the locals privately snark. That said, he does look out for his neighbors’ best interests, especially in the wake of a horrible killing.
  2. New series regular Emily Swallow (of TNT’s Monday Mornings) makes her debut this Sunday as Kim, a vacationer who catches Jane’s eye — even if she is reading a murder mystery (gah!) when they first meet. Kim also makes a very nice cup of tea; it’s up to you to decide if I mean that as a euphemism.
  3. Lisbon for the past 18 months has been keeping “busy” as the police chief of a small Washington burg, where she hunts down… bicycle thieves and such. At night, she is known to catch up with private security firm owners Rigsby and Van Pelt, or curl up on the sofa with some wine and [spoiler].
  4. Cho? As full of bubbly personality as ever.
  5. FBI Special Agent Abbott (new series regular Rockmond Dunbar), even two years later, is anxious to once and for all track down Jane — and for a very specific reason.
  6. In the Dec. 8 episode, Azita Ghanizada — formerly of Syfy’s Alphas — plays a woman named Defiance, which amused me. Alphas. Defiance. All that’s missing is a warehouse numbered 13.
  7. Things are quite hairy My Blue Heavenin the future. Jane’s beard. Lisbon’s longer locks (when not stowed away in police chief mode). Van Pelt’s bangs.
  8. Jane’s wedding ring and whether or not he still wears it is at one point a conversation topic.
  9. A loose thread from the Red John storyline at one point resurfaces. That said (as Simon Baker previously indicated), the words “Red John” are not once uttered — though the serial killer is referred to.
  10. At the close of the second episode, Lisbon surprises Jane with something.
