Season 6 Finale Spoiler: Will Patrick Jane Marry Teresa Lisbon in 'Blue Bird'?

The final episode of the Mentalist Season 6 will be aired on 18 May and fans of 'Jisbon' would love it if the two of them expressed their feelings for each other.

Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon are racing against time to bust a human trafficking ring. The pre-finale episode is not just about Jane and Lisbon's fight together against criminal masterminds but also about the most important decision of their life, that is whether or not to be 'in love.'

The official synopsis of "The Mentalist" Season 6, episode 21 reads: "With time running out to save the victims of a kidnapping ring before they are transported overseas, Jane and Lisbon zero in on the criminal enterprise's mastermind. Meanwhile, Lisbon decides if she will move to D.C. with Agent Pike."

Show creator Bruno Heller teased that the finale would be romantic and end all questions about Lisbon's relationship status.

"It's a romantic finale rather than a [suspenseful] finale. With the death of Red John, there's a sense of tying [things] up and certainly this romantic angle is one of them," he told TV Guide.

There is some good news for Jisbon fans as the finale is expected to be more about Jane and Lisbon and their untangling relationship, TVline reported.

In the finale, titled 'Blue Bird, Lisbon will delay her plan to move with Agent Pike to Washington DC as she will be required for a new case. This will give Jane enough time to express his feelings for her, the website reported.

The website also released the pictures of the upcoming finale. Lisbon and Jane appear overwhelmed by emotions and there are chances of Jane proposing to her.

Entertainment website Breathecast suspects Jane secretly intends to marry Lisbon but Agent Pike's hasty advances are ruining his chance.

The show is yet to be renewed by CBS while there are rumours that 'The Mentalist' may move to other networks in order to continue with Season 7.

The Mentalist Season 6 finale episode 'Blue Bird' will air on Sunday, 18 May, on CBS and is directed by Chris Long.

Jane and Lisbon’s future in ‘Black Hearts’ (6x21, preview)

Next week on “The Mentalist,” we have a story in “Black Hearts” that is going to get closer and closer to trying to answer one key question: Are Jane and Lisbon going to be getting together soon? We are at least at a time now when it is clearer that Jane wants to make a move, but he has to figure out just what this move is going to be.

As the synopsis for this hour reveals, there is a story-of-the-week plot here (or really the continuation of the kidnapping ring) that some people may be interested in. But, at this point in the season, we imagine that the larger focus is on the prospective relationship, and how Lisbon is going to make a huge choice when it comes to whether or not she is going to take off with Agent Pike:

“With time running out to save the victims of a kidnapping ring before they are transported overseas, Jane and Lisbon zero in on the criminal enterprise’s mastermind. Meanwhile, Lisbon decides if she will move to D.C. with Agent Pike.”

There is one thing to remember here when it comes to this “decision,” though. Even if Lisbon claims that she wants to move to DC, that does not mean that things are necessarily over between her and Jane. He is as creative a guy as things come, and the best thing for Simon Baker’s character could be is a challenge. He always tends to rise to the occasion, and by the time the finale airs, you may have all of the answers you are looking for.

Lisbon and Jane to Kiss in the Finale?

"The Mentalist" returns to CBS this Sunday with a brand new episode revealing more about Lisbon's ongoing relationship with Agent Pike.

This week's show will follow Lisbon who is debating between moving to Washington, D.C. with her new boyfriend, Pike, or remaining on the FBI team with Jane. As season six winds down, "The Mentalist" fans are hoping for a romantic twist between Lisbon and Jane. Fortunately, viewers may get just what they want.

According to spoilers, the season finale "Blue Bird Inn" sees Jane at last awakened to his romantic feelings for Lisbon, according to Enstarz.com. Moreover, Jane may even propose to Lisbon before Pike has the chance to win her heart.

Furthering beliefs of love budding between Jane and Lisbon, "The Mentalist" creator Bruno Heller recently teased about the season six finale.

"It's a romantic finale," he told TV Guide. "With the death of Red John, there's a sense of tying [things] up and certainly this romantic angle is one of them."

However, other speculations over a "romantic" finale could see a wedding between Lisbon and Agent Pike, portrayed by Pedro Pescal. Nevertheless, Heller explained what Lisbon needs from Pike for now on "The Mentalist."

"In order to fulfill herself-even if she eventually fulfills herself with Jane, which she may or may not do- she has to find other relationships; other perspectives, other people who love her, just to feel fully who she is," he told Entertainment Weekly.

"The Mentalist" airs on CBS Sundays at 10 p.m. EST. The synopsis for "Brown Eyed Girls" is as follows: "Jane unearths a human-smuggling ring after he encounters a curious-looking stranger. Meanwhile, Lisbon ponders moving to Washington, D.C. with Pike."

Agent Lisbon’s new man gives a kiss? Season finale proposal

Fans of “The Mentalist” watched as FBI Agent Teresa Lisbon has finally found her possible suitor on the popular CBS show, but it isn't Patrick Jane as many viewers has visualized. The chance encounter with Agent Pike blossomed into more than just a working relationship and it gets more serious as the season finale gets closer. This “The Mentalist” spoiler offers details about the episode “Brown Eyed Girls” so fans who don’t want to know details should look away now. According to Hollywood Hills on Saturday, an unassuming abandoned house kicks off a drastic case for the FBI.

The chance encounter sets up a very interesting case with Patrick Jane taking the lead on a smuggling ring. A suspicious-looking individual leads Jane and Agent Lisbon to uncover a big human smuggling ring that even their bosses are shocked to see all the people involved. With such a serious injustice to the people being harmed the FBI stops the ring and arrests those folks in charge.

Meanwhile, Agent Lisbon has a tough choice before the season finale. It was Agent Pike who offered a new life for the couple and a romance that could last a lifetime if she moves with him to Washington, D.C. Torn between two worlds and the chance for love, Teresa has to decide carefully her new journey in life as it might not be the best to stick with Patrick Jane. More importantly, a kiss is coming for Agent Lisbon and it might not be from Agent Pike who is trying to sweep her off her feet. Christian Post is reporting on Thursday that the kiss is from her other sleuthing friend and both men might be on one knee to propose.

As the romance does bloom into something bigger, it’s pretty obvious that Patrick is getting jealous of Agent Pike as it was once assumed that he might be Lisbon’s boyfriend. How the three work out the details for a strong conclusion to the story is yet to be known, but knowing Patrick Jane he probably has something up his sleeve to make Agent Lisbon thing twice before leaving the Texas FBI unit.

Lisbon Leaving Jane Behind To Move To D.C.? Will This End Any Chance Of Romance? (spoilers)

"The Mentalist" season 6 spoilers is up and Teresa Lisbon is asked by Agent Pike to move in with him in D.C. and that could mean the end of the any prospect of romance between her and Patrick Jane.

For six seasons, both Lisbon and Jane have been skirting around the issue at hand even though they clearly have feelings for each other. A good chunk of the blame rests on Jane particularly his feelings after the Red John debacle.

Then here comes Agent Pike (Pedro Pascal) who's offering what Jane hasn't yet-a chance to build a future together, outside of work, and he's also smitten with Lisbon.

"The Mentalist" season 6 spoilers so far haven't really provided an indication that Jane is making a move on Lisbon but CarterMatt suggested that "maybe 'Brown Eyed Girls' will be the inspiration for this guy to finally make a move."

There are only three more episodes after "Brown Eyed Girls" on April 27 to give fans closure on the relationship between Jane and Lisbon if the show concludes in May.

"Another reason that he may need to make a move on Lisbon now? Remember that the future of the show is in jeopardy. There is no word yet on a season 7 renewal, and at the time that CBS makes up their mind on the show's future, production will most likely be long over," the blogsite said.

The "The Mentalist" Season 6 episode 17 will air Sunday and according to the official spoiler released by CBS, Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) only has two days to conclude an investigation with the life of an innocent man at stake.

"Silver Wings of Time" could also tackle some more the Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) romance since in the previous episode, fans watched her accept a date proposal from Agent Pike.

Cast Weighs In On Possible Cancellation, Should Series End Without Jisbon?

Does the end of Red John mean the end of The Mentalist?

The death of the elusive serial killer heralded the end of Wayne Rigsby's (Owain Yeoman) role on the series, and Yeoman believes it could bring an end to The Mentalist as well.

"The main mythology, or certainly the main protagonist of the show, for me, was always Jane's hunting Red John," Yeoman explained to TV Guide. "I think that the minute that you find Red John, you have to then find a completely different part in the Jane character, because Jane was always driven by that. And in many respects, maybe not too many people want to see him live this blissful life where he could move on...I think if this were the year that things were to wrap up, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that."

While some fans may not want to follow Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) into his new future, there are many viewers who would still like to see Jane and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) have a romantic relationship before the series comes to an end. With Lisbon about to enter into a relationship with another FBI agent, a Jisbon pairing may not come to pass if The Mentalist fails to return for a seventh season.

The Mentalist airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on CBS. A decision regarding a season 7 renewal should be made in May.

Do Patrick Jane & Lisbon Have A Chance?

The Mentalist's Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon are two halves of fans' perfect couple, but season 6 may not bring the pairing viewers have been hoping for.

Now fully immersed in the post-Red John, Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) have smoothed out the bumps in their relationship and are moving on with their lives...just not into each others arms.

Despite Lisbon's impending relationship with FBI Agent Marcus Pike, series creator Bruno Heller has not completely ruled out any possible of a Jisbon romance.

"They haven't been thinking about [their growing closeness] while it's been happening, so all this accumulated emotion and feeling has been building up, essentially, behind them," Heller explained to TV Line. "It's only when they step away from that and can turn around and look back that they will really start to see how they feel about each other, and it's great fun to explore that on the page. I think it's going to be a whole different look at these two characters."

Fans may have to wait until next season to truly see this concept play out, however. Lisbon is set to meet Pike in episode 16 ("Violets") and their five-episode arc will conclude dangerously close to the end of the season.

Despite this, The Mentalist writers could still pen a major Jisbon scene for the season finale. After all, Heller has conceded that there is a form of love between the two.

"I think there's a great deal of love between them and they now have to find out what kind of love that is and what does it mean," Heller told Entertainment Weekly.

Considering The Mentalist has worked hard to keep viewers through the transition from Red John to the FBI, it would be a shame fans were driven off by a relationship that fails to materialize.

The Mentalist airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' most recent episode, "The Golden Hammer.

Bruno Heller on Lisbon/Jane relationship and more (Interview)

Besides the Red John reveal, are there other landmark moments this season that you're working toward?

The one question for me and other people that remains to be answered after, if and when Jane and Lisbon are done with Red John, what happens to them? I think their feelings for each other, whatever they are, have been masked by this joint mission they've been on. Now they're getting toward the end of that mission — for good or ill, success or failure. Certainly Lisbon is beginning to think about what happens after and how is that relationship going to change. They've always thought themselves that it's a brother-sister, professional relationship but clearly there is more there that they're not really aware of themselves. Once Red John is gone, if he goes, the real relationship that they have with each other is then exposed to light, if you like, then they have to deal with that.

They'll address it head-on?

Yeah, yeah. Or, well, not head-on because neither of them are quite aware of their own feelings but as their feelings become clear, then, yeah.

You're bringing back a lot of recurring characters this season, but also introducing two new players. What can you say about Fischer and Abbott?

As the series rolls on, we're introducing a number of new main characters, but the two biggest ones are FBI agent Abbott, played by Rockmond Dunbar, and FBI sgent Fischer, played by Emily Swallow. I can't really tell you how they enter or what happens with them but they come in and throw several cats among the pigeons among the CBI and cause major drama.
