The Mentalist” episode 20 of season 6, and it looks very interesting and intense as Patrick gets arrested for murder, has a very touching moment with Teresa, and more. The episode is called, “Il Tavolo Bianco.”

Jane’s freedom is going to be on the line when a grand jury is empanelled to decide if he should be tried for the murder of Red John. Meanwhile, Lisbon will attempt to find out how Jane feels about the possibility of her leaving Austin with Agent Pike. Then we’ll see Cho and Abbott follow a couple of new leads in the human smuggling ring they recently found.

Guest stars will include: Tony Amendola (Aurelio), Jonathan LaPaglia (John Acardo), Brianne Davis (Brandy), Merle Dandridge (Lydia), Craig Irwin (Burly Guy Juror), Yves Bright (Euro Man Juror), Amanda Reed (Heavy Woman Juror), Michelle Gardner (Ginger), Alison Martin (Mrs. Macy), Boo Arnold (US Marshal Lawson), Helen D’Esposito (Forensic Tech), and Ted Larkin (Trigger Man).

The episode was written by Daniel Cerone and Erika Green Swafford, and it was directed by Tom Snyder. Episode 20 is due to air on Sunday night, May 4th at 9pm central time on CBS.

Remember the old days of “The Mentalist,” when you watched the CBI take on the case of the week before the Red John investigation really started to get crazy? There is something about the sneak peek below that reminds us of some of the early days of the show. Maybe it is the sight of Jane, Lisbon, and Cho all together, and that they are working on a case that doesn’t appear to have too much to do with necessarily anything long-term.

Even though this is a standalone plot, what this show has nonetheless proven to us time and time again is that it still has a capacity to entertain. This scene features the three aforementioned characters coming up to what may be some sort of refuge … or a prison. This case could actually get very dark before it is over, but don’t expect it to be something that carries over from week to week.

When it comes to that subject for the time being, the large focus seems to be on the Jane / Lisbon relationship and trying to figure out just what is coming next for them. She’s going to have a chance to move to Washington DC, and you can expect that story to drag on for at least a few weeks while she weighs the options … and possibly also see what Jane is going to do about it.

Sadly, we have no more news right now for you on just what the future for “The Mentalist” could be. The show still has not been renewed for another season, and while we reported yesterday that Warner Bros. is shopping the show elsewhere, it’ll be a little while before CBS firmly makes their decision one way or the other.

If you’re curious, rest assured that so is Lisbon’s partner in crimefighting — as seen in this exclusive clip from the episode, in which Jane takes up the cause of a death row inmate who has two days to prove his innocence. John De Lancie (Star Trek: TNG) guest-stars as Jane’s latest foil.



Two new sneak peeks for "Silver Wings of Time" won't tell viewers anything about the case of the week, but they will help inform Lisbon (Robin Tunney) and Jane's (Simon Baker) tenuous friendship in the wake of Lisbon's date with Agent Marcus Pike (Pedro Pascal).

Picking up the morning after "Violets," Lisbon will drop by this week's crime scene in a taxi and Jane will be quick to realize why, even if Lisbon claims the cab is only because her car broke down. Meanwhile, the former CBI agent will be keeping her voice low as she sets up another date with the art squad member with Jane standing nearby

On Sunday's The Mentalist, Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) dress to impress as they go undercover to try to trap a team of art thieves. But Lisbon — who cleans up pretty nicely, we might add — has a more difficult time adjusting to black tie attire than Jane does.

In the exclusive sneak peek below, Jane hilariously instructs his partner to "try a little less Joan Crawford, a little more Barbara Stanwyck."

Lisbon's efforts apparently pay off elsewhere in the episode, when she catches the eye of Special Agent Marcus Pike (Pedro Pascal), who's being introduced as a love interest for Teresa.

Is Jane in Love With Lisbon?! Watch and Find Out (sneak peek, 6x15)

Who says guys don't like to talk about their feelings?!

Nothing like a little bonding over some beers to get the scoop on your friend's love life, which is exactly what Rigsby (Owen Yeoman) is doing in this Sunday's episode of The Mentalist!

We've got an exclusive sneak peek at the CBS hit's March 23 outing, titled "White as the Driven Snow," which finds Rigsby, Cho (Tim Kang) and Jane (Simon Baker) all meeting at a bar for a drink.

And it's all toasts and bar talk before Rigsby and Cho team up to try and get Jane to open up about his feelings for Jane (Robin Tunney)!

So how does Jane react to their questioning? Watch the exclusive video to find out if there's a future for Jane and Lisbon.

But it's not all beers and romance talk in the episode, as Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti), Rigsby's wife, will be in serious danger after she is kidnapped by the person hunting down and killing former CBI agents. Will Jane, Rigsby and the rest of the gang be able to save her in time?

“The Mentalist” is back on Sunday night with a new episode entitled “Black Helicopters,” and there are a wide array of things worth looking forward to. How do we know? Think along the lines of the two videos that we have for you below that share some of the action that is coming up.

Let’s go through these piece-by-piece to give you a little bit more insight as to what the main stories being featured this time are.

1. Jane is going to be traveling down to Mexico this week in order to track down a murder, which may have happened on a separatist commune that has “conspiracy” possibly written all over it. This alone almost has “potential TV series” written all over it. Of course Jane cannot seem to do anything without causing a little bit of mischief in the process. Rather than informing Agent Fischer about his offer to head down south, he simply decides to go for it and see what happens. Somehow, it typically works out for him, and it will be interesting to see how that happens here.

2. Also, Rigsby and Van Pelt are taking part in a story that we know has much more in the way of long-lasting implications on the show, given that it involves a plot against multiple members of the CBI. Also, it apparently involves the two cashing in on a favor that a certain someone owes Simon Baker’s character. Think of this as proof that there are many benefits to knowing Jane, even if he makes life harder on you a good percentage of the time.

Jane goes underground in 'Black Helicopters' (6x13, video, sneak peek)

After nearly two months off the air, "The Mentalist" returns to CBS Sunday (March 9). The show's first episode back finds Jane literally going underground to work a case.

Zap2it has an exclusive sneak peek at the episode, titled "Black Helicopters." The episode centers on the death of a U.S. attorney in Mexico, which leads Jane to a separatist compound near the border. In the clip, Jane (Simon Baker) calls Fischer (Emily Swallow) and Cho (Tim Kang) and asks them to trace his phone, but when they arrive, there's no sign of him -- just an angry guy with a shotgun.

The situation goes from tense to just when Jane, through Fischer's phone, asks everyone not to shoot and then pops out of a hole in the ground. Take a look here.

Patrick Jane's Behavior Concerns Cho, Rigsby & Van Pelt To Return In 'The Golden Hammer' (spoilers, video, 6x12)

The Mentalist's Patrick Jane is up to his old tricks, and that may not be a good thing.

Faux psychic, former CBI consultant, and newest member of the FBI's Austin based team, Jane (Simon Baker) is about to be granted full security access at his new job, despite his continuing shenanigans. As Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), Agent Fischer (Emily Swallow), and Agent Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar) work on unraveling the cause of a pentagon worker's death in "The Golden Hammer," Agent Cho (Tim Kang) will be expressing his concern about Jane's behavior.

"You're acting like you used to act in the early days, and that makes me nervous," Cho tells his coworker in a new preview. "You were crazy."

The investigator's unconventional behavior won't be the only throwback to the Red John era in next week's episode. They don't feature in the promo, but Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) are slated to reappear, although it doesn't appear they will be working the same cartography related case as Jane and Lisbon.

As revealed in "My Blue Heaven," the married couple restarted their life after the CBI with a new baby and their own digital detective agency. At some point during "The Golden Hammer," the duo will begin to investigate and undisclosed conspiracy. It is unclear whether or not this case will feed into the character's upcoming departure from the series.

Jane and Lisbon Go on Separate Dates. Kim Fischer A 'Complicating Factor' In Their Relationship (video)

The Mentalist's Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon are trying to recover from rocky spell in their friendship and any potential movement on the romantic front may hit a roadblock in upcoming episodes.

When the CBS drama returns in January with "White Lines," the FBI will be tracking down the murderer of several DEA agents but Jane will be busy asking a woman named Krystal Markham (Brianna Brown) out on a date, according to TV Line. Although it is unclear if the faux psychic is merely going out to gain information for the case, Lisbon will also be getting a boyfriend in episode 15 or 16, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"In order for her to fulfill herself - even if she eventually fulfills herself with Jane, which she may or may not do - she has to find other relationships, other perspectives, other people who love her, just to feel fully who she is," said series creator Bruno Heller in regards to Lisbon's future beau, according to the site. "It's very important for her to be able to step away from Jane and see herself for herself."

However, these two dalliances won't be the only thing putting Jisbon on the blocks.

"Now that Red John is gone, Lisbon and Jane have to really refigure and reform their relationship and work out what it is they mean to each other," Heller recently stated in a behind-the-scenes featurette. "That is going to be complicated by the fact that they are now working at the FBI where there are a number of other agents involved, including Agent Kim Fischer who is - I don't want to give too much away - but who is going to be a very complicating factor in the relationship between Jane and Lisbon."
