Patrick Jane is looking at finding himself in the middle of a large argument between two FBI agents on Sunday night. Usually it is Jane who causes all the drama, but this week it is Teresa Lisbon who seems to have found someone that she is attracted to. This “The Mentalist” spoiler offers details about the episode “Violets” that airs on March 30. Viewers who don’t want to know details need to look away now. According to the Latino Post on Friday, the search for the next set of thieves requires a dangerous sting operation.
Jane enlists his colleagues in a dangerous sting operation to catch a deadly team of art thieves. Using typical methods that he usually finds to work, there seems to be a bit of a risky side to the plan and it leaves everyone uncomfortable.
Meanwhile, sparks fly between Teresa Lisbon and an agent from the FBI’s art squad. The two seem to be interested in each other which is a minor distraction.
While the show might be cancelled after this season, some fans are asking why Lisbon would not be interested in Jane instead of someone she just met working on a case. The pairing of the two stars has been a step away for several seasons and it appears now, before the end of the series finale, the viewers won’t get any satisfaction of knowing the couple could have been a possibility either.
“The Mentalist is on CBS with the episode “Violets” airing on March 30 at 10 p.m. ET.

Jane Coaches Lisbon on Dressing to Impress (6x16, Sneak Peek #1)
On Sunday's The Mentalist, Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) dress to impress as they go undercover to try to trap a team of art thieves. But Lisbon — who cleans up pretty nicely, we might add — has a more difficult time adjusting to black tie attire than Jane does.
In the exclusive sneak peek below, Jane hilariously instructs his partner to "try a little less Joan Crawford, a little more Barbara Stanwyck."
Lisbon's efforts apparently pay off elsewhere in the episode, when she catches the eye of Special Agent Marcus Pike (Pedro Pascal), who's being introduced as a love interest for Teresa.

Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman Exit the CBS Drama—Did Van Pelt and Rigsby Make it Out Alive?
The Mentalist family is down two members.
While their impending departures from the CBS series was first reported in August, before the sixth season even premiered, Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman's final episode as series regulars didn't air until Sunday, March 23.
Righetti and Yeoman, who have been with the show since it began in 2008, play special agents Grace Van Pelt and Wayne Rigsby, the show's fan favorite couple who wed in the season five finale, so viewers have been anxious to see how their story ends.
So did both Rigsby and Van Pelt make it out of "White as the Driven Snow," which began with Van Pelt kidnapped and in some serious danger, alive? Warning, spoilers ahead!
Though it looked rocky for a moment, Rigsby and Van Pelt both made it out of the hour alive...and happy!
Pulling off a tricky ruse with Jane (Simon Baker), Rigsby was able to rescue Van Pelt from Richard Haibach (William Mapother), the person hunting down and killing former CBI agents, though he was severely injured in the process.
After his stellar work on the case (and a recovery, of course), Rigsby was offered a full-time position with the FBI, but he turned it down as the couple decided to leave the law enforcement life behind. Don't you love it when your favorite TV characters actually get a happy ending?!
Fortunately, Righetti's fans won't have to wait too long to see her back on their TV screens as we exclusively reported that she's set to guest star on Chicago PD and Chicago Fire as a pediatrician during the NBC hit drama's upcoming crossover episodes. And there's even buzz that a third spinoff, Chicago M.D., could be in the works.
Prior to Sunday's episode, fans of the show were able to make#GoodbyeWayneandGrace a wordwide trending topic on Twitter. "Am so proud and humbled by #GoodbyeWayneandGrace trending worldwide," Yeoman wrote. "So lucky to have such awesome followers. Thanku."

‘The Mentalist’ season 6 spoilers: The finale’s title is…
We understand that it is a little hard to really talk about the season 6 finale for “The Mentalist” without feeling a little bit sad. Thanks to CBS not picking up the show yet, despite renewing many other programs, it is easy to worry about whether or not the show is going to be back for another season.
At the moment, the only thing that we can say in regards to renewal possibilities is to watch the show, and also watch it live. This is the only way that you are going to get a chance to have it come back. (We’ve already written about how possibly another network could be interested in picking it up.)
So what we are here to share today is just a simple scoop regarding this episode: The title of “Blue Bird.” This certainly sounds peaceful enough, and with the fate of the show uncertain, we wonder if this will be crafted in a way that could at least serve as a decent conclusion, while also leaving the door open for a possible seventh season. If we were running the show, this is at least the sort of avenue that we would consider taking.
One other random thing that we’re hoping could help the show? That the recent huge episode of “The Good Wife” could bring more viewers to CBS, who could in turn stick around for the show after it. Time will tell, and we’ll just have to see what sort of stories are told from here on out.

CBS Predictions: 'The Mentalist' Is Certain To Be Canceled
Our Renew / Cancel Index predicts potential renewal or cancellation for scripted broadcast primetime shows by the end of the 2013-14 season in May, 2014. (includes results from December 30, 2013 - March 23, 2014):
-
The Mentalist wasn't renewed in the wave of CBS renewals from a few weeks ago, and it doesn't fit the pattern of late announced renewals from recent seasons. It's certain to be canceled. The Cancellation Bear is currently in the clean up phase for his CBS predictions. He's incrementally adjusting his predictions, while seeding more headlines to satisfy the future search engine queries of the frantic.
The desperate/delusional fans grasping for hope should note that after its March renewal announcements for the past two seasons, the only shows that CBS has renewed have been Criminal Minds, Two and a Half Men (highly rated, lengthy contract wrangling), Rules of Engagement (average rated, renewed after lengthy license fee(?) wrangling in 2012, canceled in 2013), Unforgettable (low rated rookie, canceled, then freak summer renewal).
For those keeping score at home, the bear's looking good to bat 1.000 on his CBS predictions this season.
From now through the end of the broadcast season in May, the Renew/Cancel Index values will only be calculated using new episodes airing during 2014.

The Mentalist Round Table: 6x15 "White As the Driven Snow"
It may very well be the last time fans see Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt - and it was anyone's guess whether they'd ride off into the sunset or end up in body bags on The Mentalist Season 6 Episode 15.
Did you think Rigsby was dead?
Robin: I thought he was dead, honestly. I knew Owain Yeoman was leaving the show, and I thought that Jane might have been foreshadowing when he told Rigsby earlier that he needs to survive for his kids.
Katempw: I kind of did after the second shot to what I thought was his heart. But I also didn’t believe they would kill off Rigsby given what Eoghan Mahoney said about honoring the viewers when putting beloved characters in jeopardy.
Christine: This show can go down a dark path sometimes so when when Rigsby took that second shot, I really did think he was dead. As implausible as his getting up and saving everyone was, I was completely grateful that it happened that way.
Should Wayne and Grace take the job with the FBI?
Robin: No, I think this was a good send-off. It's improbable that the entire CBI team would be reunited exactly as they were in another law enforcement agency. This is way more believable.
Katempw: As much as I love our CBI family, I’m glad Wayne and Grace took the Ferdinand the bull approach and chose family and smelling the flowers over fighting the fight. It was a sweet and fitting au revoir. But I like that the door is left open for a return. Because I like them.
Christine: They have two little kids and their own thriving business. Plus I think they've had enough adventure to last them quite awhile. I'm thrilled that they get to go off and happily raise their family. We all deserves some happiness.
What was the weakest part of the episode for you?
Robin: Honestly? Rigsby not being dead. I mean - it's not like he got shot in the leg. He got a shotgun blast to the abdomen and another shot with a handgun to the chest. The internal bleeding and shock alone should have kept him on the ground unconscious, if not dead. Next thing we know he's up and about shooting people.
Katempw: Grace’s helmet hair. Other than that, I actually really enjoyed the episode though I admit I willingly suspended all disbelief. If I must choose something, the weak point was the Haibachs as villains. They are creepy enough and definitely have reason to want revenge but they aren’t mastermind material to me. And who is paying that lawyer’s bills? She looks expensive.
Christine: Setting Wayne's Superman abilities aside, I'm going with Agent Fischer. I've wanted to give her a chance but week after week I feel like she's not adding anything to the show. Even worse, she's taking screen time away from characters I care about.
Are you convinced that Haibach was the only one involved in the CBI deaths?
Robin: I'm still not sold on that, and if that really is the case, I'm sorely disappointed. When did Haibach suddenly get resourceful and cunning enough to bug phones and execute these kinds of murders? Dude couldn't even write a college thesis. Also, he was mad at Jane - why on earth would Ardiles even have mattered?
Katempw: Haibach acting alone isn’t credible. Did he have the resources and intelligence to bug those phones or be in CA to capture and kill Ardiles, attack the Rigsbys and rig the space that killed LaRoche? I don’t buy it and would love it if it turns out that Volker or Wagner were pulling the strings.
Christine: I agree. I don't see how Haibach pulled all of this off or why he would. There's a reason why he was on Jane's fake Red John list. He wasn't smart or cunning enough to make the real one.
What was your favorite scene?
Robin: The return of ruthless Jane. I didn't realize how much I miss seeing Jane's dark side until we saw him threatening Haibach; I actually caught my breath during that scene. "Don't worry about the law, you should worry about me!" Simon Baker amazes me.
Katempw: Always tough: loved the bar scene with Jane’s high voice non-denial, Jane going to work on Haibach for Rigsby, little Harry Potter-Stuart Little-Ben but the hospital scene was the best. It had our favorite five, Jane’s wink and some long awaited Jane – Lisbon banter at the end.
Christine: I loved Grace fighting her way out of that cellar. She never gave up, not for a second. But my favorite was the hospital with the five of them. I didn't know I's missed their camaraderie that much until I realized it was the last time I'd see it. I was almost mad at Abbott and Fischer for coming in and interrupting the moment. The two felt more like intruders than colleagues.

The Mentalist could end this season, says star Owain Yeoman
he Mentalist star Owain Yeoman has opened up about the show's uncertain future.
CBS recently renewed 18 of its shows, but The Mentalist - currently airing its sixth season - was not among them.
"I think if the story were to wrap up this year, we resolved the main things that fans wanted," Yeoman told TV Guide. "We worked out the Red John story line, to a greater or lesser degree.
"The main mythology... for me, was always Jane's hunting Red John. I think if this were the year that things were to wrap up, I don't think anyone would have a problem with that."
Sunday's episode of The Mentalist saw Yeoman's character Wayne Rigsby depart the series, alongside on-screen wife Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti).
"I feel very satisfied that we gave the characters the conclusion that they did," Yeoman said of his final episode, which saw the couple retire from law enforcement.
"They ended up together, which I think was the main concern."

Hey CBS, Please Don't Cancel The Mentalist
By Mack Rawden
For a long time, The Mentalist was the best procedural on television. Then suddenly, it wasn’t. The balance between whimsical and psychologically exciting mystery of the week episodes and serious, borderline disturbing Red John episodes swung sharply from the former to the latter, and with that transition, much of the what made the show so special sorta drifted away. That’s not to say the Red John finale wasn’t well done or even needed, but week after week of serial killer hunting just wasn’t the spirit of the show. It got draining, and even as a huge fan, I was ready to see the show drift away. Miraculously, however, over the last few months the show has somehow reinvented itself as a post-Red John procedural once again. To be frank, it’s better than it’s been in years, and that’s why it has to come back.
The Mentalist debuted to stunning, double take numbers back in 2008. It attracted more than fifteen million people during its premiere and somehow only grew from there. Thanks to a move to Sunday nights and perhaps some of the Red John-related problems mentioned before, that figure has slowly dwindled down to between eight and ten million an episode. On most networks, that would be good enough for an instant renewal. In fact, the show handily beats its competition in total viewers each week, but over at CBS a whole lot more is expected. The show was recently left off of the mass pick-up list, and many insiders are speculating it could get the big ugly axe. Sadly, those dire forecasts may prove correct, but even if they do, that won’t change the fact that quitting on The Mentalist would be a mistake.
In almost all cases, a show is what it is by Season 6 and any attempts to spice things up by bringing aboard new characters or different settings are best case scenario, pointless and worse case scenario, offensive and contradictory to the basic nature of the show. Yet, somehow, The Mentalist was able to turn back the clock and push in an exciting new direction while still keeping its basic spirit just a few months ago. In Red John’s wake, the show let lead character Patrick Jane and key supports Teresa Lisbon and Kimble Cho join the FBI (oddly believable). It then mostly rid itself of its least likeable characters (Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt), all while adding two characters (Dennis Abbott and Kim Fischer) that spice up the dynamic and add very real elements to the overall team. Fans are still getting the whismy and the playfulness of the original seasons, but thanks to all of these changes, it suddenly feels brand new.
It’s like the writers are churning out brand new episodes of Season 1 and Season 2 quality, but it doesn’t feel like same-old-same-old because we suddenly have new characters to get a small amount of personal life intrigue about each week. It’s a reinvention. It’s a return to the show’s roots, and it really deserves to be explored with a full season, especially since the show is still very competitive in the key 18-49 demographics. Television is a business. I get that, but there’s no guarantee whatever would be positioned in The Mentalist’s place will work out. Since the show is effectively treading water right now, it’s the smart play to give it one more season to coax back the dearly departed viewers who may have left because it got way too serious.
The Mentalist is getting better and better by the week, and it is in everyone’s best interests to see how high it can soar again.

"White As The Driven Snow" (Insider's blog)
Posted on Mar 24, 2014 06:00am
"White as the Driven Snow" was a hard episode to write and shoot, but it was an exciting one! And in the end, it may be my favorite in all the six years I worked on the show. There's no body on the floor at the beginning of the episode, instead Grace Van Pelt, a beloved core character, has been taken and the rest of the team is desperately racing to find her. We're in scary territory here, but hopefully in a good and exciting way!
All of us in the writer's room are hyper-aware that a great part of the success of a show like the Mentalist is built on the bonds formed between the audience and the characters, and we're conscious of the responsibility we have to honor that. Writing an episode where I put some of your favorite characters (and ours!) in extreme jeopardy definitely gave me a few sleepless nights, but I hope that you all enjoy the end result.
Getting into production was a great relief, because I always know that our incredible cast and crew will transform whatever is on the page into something truly magical. This episode I felt extra lucky, because Chris Long was directing, and if you've been watching the show at all over the last six years, you know that if Chris Long directed the episode, it's going to be a good one (not that they aren't all good, but let's face it, he brings a little extra). He's a guy who comes up with great new ways of telling the story both large and small. My favorite in this episode was when he looked at me early on in the process and said, "I've got an idea that'll really make this episode look different from anything we done before." And he wasn't kidding! I don't want to spoil the surprise, but when you've watched, I think you'll agree that he came up with a location that really makes you go 'wow!.
Finally, I want to draw your attention to the performances given by Owain Yoeman and Amanda Righetti. This was an episode that demanded a great deal from them, emotionally and physically, and they rose to the challenge. I have been constantly amazed over the past six years by the work that our actors do and in this episode they all brought it. Simon and Robin are in top form as always, and our new cast members have jumped in with amazing enthusiasm. I hope you all enjoy the episode as much as we enjoyed making it.

Two Cast Members Say Goodbye
On this past Sunday’s episode of The Mentalist, the show’s fans said goodbye to two characters that have been there from the beginning.
Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt, played by Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti respectively, always had a mutual attraction that played out on screen. The “will they, won’t they” on and off relationship between the two characters led to much humor and drama as they navigated the waters of having an office romance.
The two dated other people in the show at times, with Grace Van Pelt even becoming engaged to an eventual villain who turned out to be Red John’s accomplice, but the two were reunited in the sixth season again.
In an interview with TV Guide, Yeoman said that both he and Righetti were satisfied with the closure provided for their characters.
“I feel very satisfied that we gave the characters the conclusion that we did,” Yeoman said. “We chose both the most satisfying but also the most practical way of ending their characters.”
On Sunday, Yeoman live-tweeted his character’s last episode of The Mentalist, even noting in one scene that it was a “very emotional scene to shoot” because it was “our last shot as a team” and the “last scene of my last night shooting.”

Episode 6x22 (Season Finale) - Title Revealed
6x16 "Violets" - Lisbon’s new love interest arrives (photo)
Next week on “The Mentalist,” the story is moving forward from being about Rigsby and Van Pelt to a couple that has been “will they or won’t they” for years: Jane and Lisbon. Unfortunately for you, there is probably not going to be the sort of quick-fix solution to this problem that you would be hoping for.
Instead, next week’s “Violets” introduces Pedro Pascal (“Game of Thrones“) as Agent Pike, a handsome man who Lisbon is going to be drawn to not long after the story begins. Could this cause some jealousy, or be a distraction from the case? We’ll just have to see how this all plans out, but for now, take a look at our full synopsis for the episode below:
While we understand there being some mixed emotions at the thought of a new man coming in and clouding up the picture, there is at least thing when it comes to a silver lining in it all: Watching Jane and Lisbon spend so much time together in the first place. This may feel like a very old-school episode of “The Mentalist,” which we have not really had since before the Red John case started to pick up steam earlier on in the season.

The Mentalist Review: Bloody Ends & New Beginnings (6x15 review)
There were plenty of twists and turns in The Mentalist Season 6 Episode 15 and by the end I found myself a little breathless and a lot grateful for how it all ended.
First things first. What happened to Lisbon's pony? How could Jane give her a pony and not know what she did with it? I really hope they revisit its whereabouts in the future.
Grace Van Pelt was quite the fighter in this episode but that wasn't surprising. She had a husband, step-son and baby girl to get back to. She wasn't going down without a fight.
I was really impressed with how she never gave up when it came to breaking out of that box in the basement. Even when she cut her hand she remained calm and barely flinched. It was extraordinary.
However, I was surprised she went running up to that SUV when it approached. Wouldn't she think that her abductor would be one of the people using that road? But perhaps she could see it was a woman driving which would seem less suspicious. But I had little doubt that that was Haibach's sister.
Back at the FBI, Jane did his best to keep Rigsby focused on what was important. He had two kids to get back to and Jane was fairly sure that Grace was still alive. When Wayne begged Jane for his help, the plan began with this The Mentalist quote…
As much as it was part of Jane's strategy, I also believe there was a certain amount of truth in the threat. If Haibach had killed Grace, I'm not sure he would have survived to face a trial.
The one thing that struck me this week was how out of place Agent Fischer felt within the story. I've wanted to give her a chance but instead of growing on me, Fischer has become more tiresome with each passing episode. Basically she takes away screen time from other characters whom I'd rather see.
I had no doubt that the gun Rigsby left on the ground was no longer loaded but I was surprised Rigsby and Jane didn't have a better plan when they got to the cabin. Wouldn't it have been better to have Haibach bring them inside at gunpoint and then tell him it wasn't loaded and get the upper hand? I know Wayne wanted his real gun from the glove compartment but did they really believe that the sister would simply walk out of the cabin and surrender? It was a definite weak spot in their plan.
And it was that miscalculation that almost got Rigsby killed. Honestly, when Wayne took that second shot, I thought he was dead. I wouldn't put it past this show to end Wayne and Grace's run with a tragedy but I'm incredibly grateful that they chose not to.
When Rigsby walked out of that cabin to give Haibach the bloody end he deserved, I was completely taken by surprise. For all of the times I've knocked Wayne Rigsby over the years, in his final scenes, he was the human equivalent of Superman.
As much as it was nice to know that Abbott appreciated their talents, it's better to know that Wayne and Grace will have a new beginning and raise their children as civilians.
As for Jane and Lisbon, I find it hard to believe there would be no repercussions for Jane after kidnapping a suspect with his lawyer watching but I suppose I can let that detail go. As Jane told Lisbon…
Very true.

Who Kidnapped Grace Van Pelt, and the New Man in Teresa's Life (6x15 spoilers)
The Mentalist's season 6 episode 15 White as the Driven Snow is touted to be thrilling with the run and chase sequence of California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer Patrick Jane to save Grace Van Pelt from the kidnapper.
But who kidnapped Van Pelt? And is there any connection between the kidnapping and the murder of other CBI agents from Teresa Lisbon's team?
Jane is determined to save Wayne Rigsby from going through the same torture as he did after losing his family due to Red John.
Rigsby, the special agent with Lisbon's team, is on the radar of Richard Haibach (yes you heard it right), who has already killed two men from her team.
Haibach tries to destroy Rigsby and Van Pelt's romantic world by blowing them in their house in California but fails. Later he succeeds in kidnapping her from a motel in Texas.
Rigsby is hurting badly due to his personal loss and the developments in the case while Haibach keeps denying his involvement in any of the cases.
The episode 15, White as the Driven Snow, will take the lead characters of the show to a journey into the darkest roads to find Van Pelt, and the plot will open more twists towards the finale of The Mentalist.
While fans are upset with the fact that this is going to be the final series of the CBS thriller drama, there are more shockers for them -- their favourite character Lisbon will finally get a boyfriend, and the mystery man is not Jane.
According to the TVLive, the new hunk in Lisbon's life will be Agent Pike, played by Pedro Pascal, who is playing the Red Viper on Game of Thrones. Pike's entry will be telecast on 30 March.
Hopefully Jane will realise what he really feels for Lisbon and it is time to come out of his own world to start a life afresh with love.

Sunday's Episode of The Mentalist Will Be Owain Yeoman, Amanda Righetti's Last
The Mentalist is officially saying goodbye to Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt.
Series regulars Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti will make their final appearances on Sunday's episode of the CBS drama, TVGuide.com has learned.
Adds Yeoman: "I'll be shedding a little tear on Sunday saying goodbye to my long-term buddy Wayne Rigsby."
But will Rigsby and Van Pelt's ending be a happy one? At the end of last week's episode, Van Pelt was kidnapped by an unknown person who's targeting former CBI agents. "The whole of the episode becomes this action-packed quest for Rigsby to quite literally save the life of his wife," Yeoman teases. "The stakes couldn't be higher for my character."
Yeoman says the episode will show viewers a different side of Rigsby. "It's a very exciting episode for us," he says. "There's lots of twists and turns, and there's a bit of a badass side to Rigsby. Who knew?"
News of the their departures first surfaced in August, and Righetti confirmed the exits in November. The actress has since booked guest-starring gigs on Chicago Fire and its spin-off Chicago P.D., while Yeoman says he's exploring developing his own projects.
The Mentalist airs Sundays at 10/9c on CBS.

The Mentalist's Owain Yeoman Hails Rigsby's 'Action-Packed' Send-Off — Next Stop: Gotham? (Interview)
On CBS’ The Mentalist (Sunday, 10/9c), someone is hunting and killing CBI members, present and past — the latest target being Grace, who was abducted at the close of last week’s episode. That harrowing development paves the way this Sunday for an “action-packed” swan song for two original cast members: Owain Yeoman, who plays former CBI agent/Grace’s husband Wayne Risgby, and Amanda Righetti herself.
TVLine spoke with Yeoman about bidding the show adieu after nearly six seasons, having Rigsby go out with a bang, the “pairing” he’ll miss most and whether there’s a place for him in series creator Bruno Heller’s buzzy new project, Gotham.
TVLINE | Where does this Sunday’s episode pick up in relation to last week’s, where Wayne had just called Grace and then we saw someone come up behind her?
It’s sort of an immediate follow-up, and it escalates from there. It was great fun for me because it was an action-packed episode and in many respects very unlike our show, which has become a bit synonymous with being a little sleepier, a little slower. But from the minute this one starts, it doesn’t really let up.
TVLINE | Yeah. In some of the photos Rigsby looks like he’s getting pretty aggressive with people, slamming Heibach (played by Lost’s William Mapother) up against a wall and stuff.
It’s a very different Rigsby than the one we’ve known in the past. I sat down with the writers and we were trying to work out how best to say goodbye to a beloved character and give it a proper finale, and I think where we’ve ended up in this episode is a real fitting tribute.
TVLINE | Does Heibach now top the list of suspects?
In many respects, yes. But the beauty of this storyline is that every single one of those people has a beef with the CBI. Now that of course Red John is out of the picture, there’s that feeling that everyone’s taken a big collective sort of sigh of relief. But it’s important for the life of the show to make sure that there’s a feeling of a new antagonist there, so we’re going to learn throughout this episode what this antagonist’s motivation is in attacking these CBI characters. I can’t give away exactly who it is, but the person who does end up being the main antagonist in the episode is brilliantly played. The whole thing felt like a little bit of a mini feature for me — it was very location heavy, very action heavy and there’s a lot of twists and turns. The CBI, and particularly Rigsby and Cho, are together taking matters into their own hands, saying that if someone attacks us personally this is a personal call to arms for us.
TVLINE | You mentioned this antagonist’s motivation. Is it an understandable one?
I think Bruno [Heller] very carefully made sure that all of those people have a genuine motivation. Long-term fans have an involved knowledge of the characters going way back into the history of the show and they will definitely understand why this character has a bit of beef. So yeah, it’s very interesting and I think it puts us all in a very extreme situation. It was very funny to shoot these huge “winter” landscapes location in 80-degree heat while we were spraying everything down with fake snow. That was a little bit befuddling for the mind. But for me, the action really doesn’t stop. There’s a series of car chase sequences, and at one point, I’m actually holding someone out a car, to an almost Mission Impossible effect. It was great fun to shoot.
TVLINE | Since this is your and Amanda’s last episode — and without spoiling the outcome — does it end in a way that viewers will be like, “Well, yeah, I guess it does make sense that they’re leaving the show now”?
I hope so. I mean, I think it’s been an important development for the show to try to move things forward. After six years on the air, the formula of a show can become comfortable, so the need to introduce new blood and a new angle is very important. Hopefully people who have followed the show from day one will understand, while they might not love the idea of two beloved characters leaving. Certainly, within the mythology of the episode, they’ll understand why it is that those characters are not going to be around. I think it gives closure for sure.
TVLINE | Of course, the news of your departure leaked back in August. But when did you know how you were going to be written out? Were you given any kind of a timetable?
It was always [meant to happen] on or around the episode that we ended up leaving. Bruno has had a very clear mythology of the show from day one — funnily enough, in one of the first ever interviews, he said, “I see this show running for six years,” and here we are six years later with a lot of these things being tied up. Clearly, the man’s a genius, the true mentalist. But it was discussed with us, and we went back and forth on a couple of scenarios. It’s very hard, I think, to make sure that you honor the life of that character and do it in such a way that makes people feel like that character has been fairly treated in his or her departure. But feel like the characters had run their course. They had the love story realized with the marriage earlier in the season, and all the really worthwhile, creative stories have been told from Rigsby and Van Pelt’s point of view.
TVLINE | What will you miss most about being on the show? Any on-set antics? Any cast member’s eccentricities?
I’ve had a long-standing, fun “bromance” as it were with Tim [Kang]’s character, Cho — we affectionately called them “Chigsby,” and that will definitely be the thing that I miss the most. Tim and I share a very similar sense of humor and he always makes me laugh. When I speak to people about that, I forget that they just don’t know how funny Tim is. They say to me, “Does he ever smile?” I’ll definitely miss him and just being part of that big family unit. After six years, you end up seeing more of them than you do your own family, so it was a sad day to say goodbye but I felt like we’d really, really closed the chapter in a very appropriate way.
TVLINE | You mentioned your regard for Bruno Heller. If there was an opportunity, who would you like to play on his new Fox series, Gotham? Maybe the Riddler?
I’d had a conversation with him! I said, “I’m just going to let you know, Bruno, that I do look particularly good in a Batman costume.” He said, “That’s great, but unfortunately [on Gotham] Bruce Wayne is 11. So as much range as you have, I don’t know if you can play an 11-year-old.” But if Gotham’s on for another 20 years, it should be just about right for me to step in as Batman! I wish him the best of luck with that — I think they have a really interesting and a really unique take on that whole mythology.

‘The Mentalist’ season 6: Could season 7 air on another network?
Maybe this article is a little bit of a preemptive strike, but given the amount of conversation that we are seeing already on the future of “The Mentalist,” now seemed to be the perfect time to address what is a very important question: Could the show have a future even if it is not on CBS?
When the renewals were announced by the Eye last week, it was an eyebrow-raiser to many that the Simon Baker drama was not one of them. To that end, we perfectly get it: “The Mentalist” may be one of the lower-rated dramas on the schedule, but it does fare at times better than “The Good Wife” (renewed thanks to critical acclaim); also, it has the terrible challenge of airing Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, which was doomed all fall by the NFL and is too late for some who want to start the work week off with plenty of rest. It’s hard for some to watch a later show and immediately fall asleep.
So first of all, don’t rule out an official renewal from CBS at some point soon. There is still a chance at a late renewal, though with the NFL going to Thursday night, executives may be cognizant that they don’t have a lot of room moving forward and casualties may need to be made on the schedule.
But even if the show is canceled, we still feel like it’s possible that a season 7 is in the works … and we’re pointing towards TNT. They already have the show in syndication, and they have revived a show in “Southland” that was far less successful in terms of viewers. Their sister station in TBS, meanwhile, has “Cougar Town” still on the air.
As for some other possibilities, we don’t really see the show working well on Netflix or another streaming service, since these are largely standalone episodes with few exceptions and don’t benefit from binge-watching like a “House of Cards” does. ABC already has “Castle,” and Fox is typically after a little bit of a younger demographic. We could see a surprise contender coming out from NBC, though: They have serious cop shows and mysteries, but nothing that is of this particular tone. Plus, they could put a new “Mentalist” season on Sunday nights after the end of the NFL season, and it would be less risk than trying to launch a new series there.
“The Mentalist” is a Warner Bros. TV show, and thanks to that, the studio is likely to fight hard for its future in the event that CBS cancels it. There will be options, and we’ll just have to watch and see what happens.

What departing star may already have new TV gig? (Amanda Righetti)
Regardless of whether or not this is the final season of “The Mentalist,” one of the series’ stars is clearly winning out already when it comes to getting another gig that could turn into something much more.
According to a new report from E! News, Amanda Righetti is going to guest-star in an upcoming crossover episode of “Chicago Fire” and new series “Chicago PD.” What is her role? She’s going to play the part of a pediatrician … which is of course causing all sorts of rumors on its own.
What is the reason for that? Think along the lines of the fact that there could be yet another spin-off for the NBC franchise, since there are rumors about a “Chicago MD” starting up featuring Righetti in the cast. Sources are conflicting as to whether or not there are discussions about this, we’re sure that it is something that has at least been discussed. Why not think about it? This franchise may not be a smash, but the numbers are pretty solid. The only reason that we’d be skeptical about this actually working out is because of the fact that it’s hard for any network to have three shows, and NBC already has a limited schedule thanks to NFL football being on during the fall.
Righetti is going to be departing “The Mentalist” very soon, and the show’s future is still being worked out. Yesterday, we wrote a piece suggesting that it is still very much possible that another network could pick up the show, even if it is canceled.

Will Patrick Jane be the hero … again? (6x15, preview)
Nest week’s episode of “The Mentalist” is going to be a pretty darn big one, and there are a variety of reasons for that. Not only will “White As the Driven Snow” help to answer the question as to whether or not Van Pelt is going to make it through her kidnapping alive, but it is also going to show that to a certain extent, we are still dealing with an angry, vengeful Patrick Jane with a little bit of a violent streak.
This is in the end one of the more intriguing things about Simon Baker’s character: While there may be a number of instances in which you start to think of him as this awkward, comedic life force, Jane is also a killer. His unpredictability is what makes it a surprise that anyone in the FBI would want to trust him with a case, mostly because if one thing goes south, the blood could be on the agency’s hands.
While the synopsis below may not give away too much when it comes to the episode’s content, it is certainly still very valuable to check out:
In between the synopsis and the promo, we believe that there are definitely reasons to be excited here about what could come up next. Let’s just hope that whatever it is, it helps to ensure that Van Pelt has a worthy exit to the series.

CBS renews bulk of current schedule for next year. Is The Mentalist cancelled?
So what does that leave, you ask? Just "The Mentalist," "Intelligence" and "Hostages."
Of the three, "Hostages" is without a doubt a goner. Likely the only thing that saved it from getting axed before it finished its season was that it was billed from the start as a limited series.
"Intelligence" is doing significantly better than "Hostages," but still not great and almost sure to be canceled as well. It's season average-to-date of about seven million viewers might cut it on other networks, but not CBS, where top draw "NCIS" is averaging nearly 19.25 million this season.
Finally, "The Mentalist" is more of a toss-up. Though it has the best ratings of the three, those ratings are its worst to date, and that's not the only thing going against it. First, it wrapped up its central Red John mystery earlier this season (unsatisfyingly so, from what I read). Plus, at least two main cast members are done (Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti, whose last episode as Rigsby and Van Pelt is Sunday). And it's already well into syndication, so there's no need to eke out another season to reach a deal for that. This could be the end for pseudo psychic Patrick Jane and his crew.

First Look At Lisbon's New Boyfriend In 'Violets' [PHOTOS], Who Is He?
The Mentalist team is preparing to pose as cons to dismantle a ring of art thieves, but Teresa Lisbon will steal someone's heart instead.
The former CBI agent will get a new love interest during "Violets," and it won't be Patrick Jane (Simon Baker). Instead, Lisbon (Robin Tunney) will have a romantic five-episode arc with Pedro Pascal's FBI Agent Marcus Pike (see gallery above).
A member of the FBI art squad, Pike will be teaming up with Agent Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) crew for their sting in episode 16. Described by TV Line as a "charming man with integrity, a blue collar cop with FBI smarts," Pike will swoop in to take on a role that fans have long hoped that Jane would play.
While the end of the Red John story opened up possibility of a relationship between Jane and Lisbon, a Jisbon pairing has yet to materialize. However, series creator Bruno Heller has not completely ruled out the possibility that the long-time partners will eventually find themselves in a romantic relationship.
"They haven't been thinking about [their growing closeness] while it's been happening, so all this accumulated emotion and feeling has been building up, essentially, behind them," Heller explained to TV Line as the series moved into its post-Red John plot. "It's only when they step away from that and can turn around and look back that they will really start to see how they feel about each other, and it's great fun to explore that on the page. I think it's going to be a whole different look at these two characters."
With The Mentalist still on the ropes for a season 7 renewal, there is an ever-increasing chance that Jane and Lisbon won't be given enough time to properly analyze their feelings for one another.

6x15: Patrick Jane Heads Down A Dark Path In The Search For Van Pelt [VIDEO]
The Mentalist's Patrick Jane knows what its like to have loved ones murdered, and he's not about to let Wayne Rigsby go through the same torment he faced with Red John.
Richard Haibach (William Mapother) has already murdered two men connected with Teresa Lisbon's (Robin Tunney) former CBI team, and the photographer now has his eyes set on the Rigsby/Van Pelt clan. After attempting (and failing) to blow them away in their own home in California, Haibach seems to have snatched Van Pelt from her motel room in Texas.
Unfortunately Haibach is deadest on denying his involvement, and his mulishness will push Jane (Simon Baker) and Rigsby to their limits. The faux psychic will have verbal threats a plenty for Haibach and Rigsby will take his frustrations out using a more physical approach.
While "White as the Driven Snow" will be the last time Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) and Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) will team up with their old friends, the former's abduction and the latter's desperation to find her will make for an interesting final episode.
The Mentalist airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Click HERE to see two sneak peeks for "White as the Driven Snow".

6x15: What Does Richard Haibach Know About Van Pelt's Kidnapping? (sneak peek)
Is Richard Haibach finally getting his revenge on the CBI?
As Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) ramp up the search for Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti), who was kidnapped on last week's episode of The Mentalist, their investigation zeroes in on the secretive photographer.
Spring TV Preview: Where we left off with returning shows
Earlier this season, Haibach (William Mapother) vowed vengeance on CBI after learning that he was one of the decoy suspects named on Jane's fake Red John list — which led to Haibach's kidnapping and subsequent torture at the hands of Bob Kirkland (Kevin Corrigan).
Now it's two years later and the CBI has been disbanded, but someone's been murdering former agents left and right. Is it Haibach?
In this exclusive clip from Sunday's episode, Haibach seems to have a disturbing amount of knowledge about the circumstances surrounding Van Pelt's kidnapping — and he's certainly less than thrilled to be back in the company of Jane and Lisbon.
Check out the sneak peek here.

Undercover Romance - Jane & Lisbon (6x16, photos)
Jane and Lisbon may never have been under covers together... but the duo will go undercover on The Mentalist Season 6 Episode 16.
In a couple weeks, a deadly gang of art thieves has Jane and Lisbon taking unusual measures to bring them to justice - and Jane certainly looks right at home living the good life.
Jane may end up sleeping on the coach, but that doesn't mean that Teresa won't pay him a visit in the middle of the night.
Unfortunately, there's a handsome FBI agent in the art squad who takes particular notice of Lisbon...and we're guessing it's not in a professional way.
Check out these photos from Violet," which airs on Sunday, March 30th on CBS.

The Mentalist Round Table: "Grey Water"
Wayne and Grace headed to Austin in The Mentalist Season 6 Episode 14 - but did fans get what they wanted when the old gang got back together?
TV Fanatics Robin Harry and Christine Orlando are joined for this edition of the Round Table by The Mentalist fan Donnamour1969 to decide who is targeting the CBI and why Jane wasn't on the case.
Who do you think is targeting the former CBI?
Robin: My money's on Volker, just because he would have the kind of resources to make that happen. Haibach's not well-connected enough. But I'm still remembering that woman in the cemetery when Jane killed Red John, so I'm not writing off the Blake Association just yet.
Donnamour1969: I think Richard Haibach is doing the dirty work, seeking vengeance after he promised to when he was tortured earlier in the season by Bob Kirkland. But I'm not so sure it is just him. Tommy Volker could very well be holding the strings. I'm sure he'd like some vengeance of his own.
Christine: So many suspects. I like the idea of Tommy Volker just because he was such a great nemesis for Lisbon. I'd love to see her have to go head to head with him again with Jane as her backup. But there are so many ways they can go with this story that it could be almost anyone.
Should Jane have been pulled for the fracking case?
Robin: Realistically, yes - he wasn't helping the other case, so it made sense. However, Jane's nonchalance about the case seemed out of character - he did like LaRoche, and his only friends are being targeted. It seemed weird that he wasn't willing to do some leg work and question some of the suspects.
Donnamour1969: This was my main gripe about the episode. The secondary case was pointless, and it seemed totally unlike Jane not to be more involved in the CBI murderer case, especially when it affected his friends. He really owes them for all the times they stuck by him with Red John. Plus, the case was boring.
Christine: Why wouldn't Jane be involved in the CBI case. He was intimately involved in taking down many of the suspects. If the FBI hired Patrick Jane for his unique insights then it seems to me that Jane should be on this case. Plus, as Donnamour1969 mentioned, the fracking case was seriously boring.
Were you surprised that Abbott backed Lisbon about Haibach?
Robin: Pleasantly surprised. Abbott does seem to always have his team's back, and he's constantly endearing himself to me.
Donnamour1969: I admit to being a bit surprised, but I keep underestimating Abbot. I really want to dislike him and be resentful, but I keep surprising myself by liking him more and more.
Christine: I think Robin's on to something. Now that Jane and LIsbon are a part of his team, Abbott views them differently than he did when they were suspects. More and more he appears to value their worth as individuals and it's fun to watch.
What did you think about having the old team back together?
Robin: Honestly, I found the reunion a tad disappointing. Jane was off on another case, Lisbon was working on her own, and I think the new FBI setting kinda throws off the chemistry.
Donnamour1969: It was wonderful - for the five minutes, we had it. I felt denied by that. And then we didn't even get to see them all getting together for a drink. These may be the waning days of the show and of Rigsby and Van Pelt's involvement in it. We deserved more.
Christine: I loved that Kimball Cho gave both Wayne and Grace hugs when they arrived but Jane felt so stand offish that it was kind of odd. He hasn't seen them in years. You'd think there'd be more of a warm welcome. And it was disappointing that we didn't get to see them actually work together for more than one conversation.
What was your favorite scene from this Mentalist Season 6 episode?
Robin: I really enjoyed the execution of Jane's plan at the gas station, with the creepy "London Bridge" playing in the cars. I love that Abbott is willing to go along with Jane's schemes, and he seemed to be having fun with it.
Donnamour1969: The opening scene by far was the best. I knew something bad was coming, and the fact that the baby was involved made things even scarier. My heart was pounding. I wish the entire episode had been like that.
Christine: Definitely the opening scene. Wayne desperately holding on to his baby daughter while trying to protect her from the bullets flying through their home was pretty horrifying. I really felt his terror and was relieved when Grace came to the rescue. I only wish that Grace could have actually shot the guy.

Christine: Definitely the opening scene. Wayne desperately holding on to his baby daughter while trying to protect her from the bullets flying through their home was pretty horrifying. I really felt his terror and was relieved when Grace came to the rescue. I only wish that Grace could have actually shot the guy.

Red John's Revenge, Patrick Jane's New Chapter, and Possible Series Ending (spoilers)
"The Mentalist" Season 6 returns with Episode 13 on CBS on Mar. 9. Red John's revenge is set in motion, as the Blake Association is out to kill Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman), Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti), Kimball Cho (Tim Kang), and others. Jane's new chapter could be a short one. Fans are speculating this could be the final season of Bruno Heller's crime series.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains spoilers on The Mentalist Season 6. Read at your own risk. Watch the "Black Helicopters" promo below.
Owain Yeoman has already made his final bow on Twitter. He is done filming Rigsby scenes. Amanda is also leaving The Mentalist. Season 6 could be the final season, fans suspect in online forum sites. After all, Bruno Heller will be busy with "Gotham City," a new series on FOX. But nothing is official yet. CBS has not announced a renewal or cancellation.
J.J. LaRoche (Pruitt Taylor Vince), an important recurring character in the Red John investigation, appears in The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 13. Rigsby and Van Pelt come to him for help with regards to the Blake Association kill chain.

Jisbon (Jane and Lisbon) shippers are hoping for a happy ending. But Lisbon will be dating someone new in The Mentalist Season 6. His name is FBI Special Agent Marcus Pike, portrayed by Pedro Pascal. Bruno Heller said this relationship will allow Lisbon "to be able to step away from Jane and see herself for herself."
Heller had kept the Red John arc going for six years. Some mentalistas are having a hard time seeing Patrick Jane in a new chapter without chasing the big bad guy. But Heller had expressed in previous interviews the series is about Jane being a "mentalist." Yet, unless The Mentalist Season 7 is official, many fans are betting the end of Red John is the end of the series.

6x13: Patrick Jane Calls Out FBI Flub (Exclusive Video)
The CBS drama returns this Sunday with a new case centered on a murdered federal attorney.
The CBS drama returns after a two-month break with a new case that leads Jane south of the border when a U.S. attorney is found dead even though there are no traces of her crossing the border.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts a scene from Sunday's return, where Jane shrugs off the FBI's suggestion that the victim could actually be a member of the cartel.
"It's a costume... Undercover... What is that about?" Jane says as he looks at Cho (Tim Kang), after rattling off clues supporting his theory.
When the FBI goes digging on his latest lead, Jane's mind goes to something less serious: food.
"You like tamales?" Watch the scene above.
The Mentalist returns Sunday at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Simon Baker, a commune, and more (6x13, sneak peek)
“The Mentalist” is back on Sunday night with a new episode entitled “Black Helicopters,” and there are a wide array of things worth looking forward to. How do we know? Think along the lines of the two videos that we have for you below that share some of the action that is coming up.
Let’s go through these piece-by-piece to give you a little bit more insight as to what the main stories being featured this time are.
1. Jane is going to be traveling down to Mexico this week in order to track down a murder, which may have happened on a separatist commune that has “conspiracy” possibly written all over it. This alone almost has “potential TV series” written all over it. Of course Jane cannot seem to do anything without causing a little bit of mischief in the process. Rather than informing Agent Fischer about his offer to head down south, he simply decides to go for it and see what happens. Somehow, it typically works out for him, and it will be interesting to see how that happens here.
2. Also, Rigsby and Van Pelt are taking part in a story that we know has much more in the way of long-lasting implications on the show, given that it involves a plot against multiple members of the CBI. Also, it apparently involves the two cashing in on a favor that a certain someone owes Simon Baker’s character. Think of this as proof that there are many benefits to knowing Jane, even if he makes life harder on you a good percentage of the time.
What do you want to see from “The Mentalist’ Sunday night, or are you just happy more than anything else that the show is back on the air? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and head over here if you want to see yet another preview for this episode. You can never have enough!

Jane goes underground in 'Black Helicopters' (6x13, video, sneak peek)
After nearly two months off the air, "The Mentalist" returns to CBS Sunday (March 9). The show's first episode back finds Jane literally going underground to work a case.
Zap2it has an exclusive sneak peek at the episode, titled "Black Helicopters." The episode centers on the death of a U.S. attorney in Mexico, which leads Jane to a separatist compound near the border. In the clip, Jane (Simon Baker) calls Fischer (Emily Swallow) and Cho (Tim Kang) and asks them to trace his phone, but when they arrive, there's no sign of him -- just an angry guy with a shotgun.
The situation goes from tense to just when Jane, through Fischer's phone, asks everyone not to shoot and then pops out of a hole in the ground. Take a look here.

Will Van Pelt Die? Amanda Righetti's Character Abducted (spoilers, 6x15)
Grace Van Pelt's life is on the line and it's up to Patrick Jane to save his former colleague in the character's Mentalist finale.
Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) and Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) are set to depart the CBS drama following "White as the Driven Snow," but one of the longtime characters may not live to see the end credits.
The Rigsby's blissful post-Red John life was interrupted by the murder of Oscar Ardeiles (David Norona) in "The Golden Hammer), and now the married couple is in hot pursuit of a unknown entity that is keeping tabs on the CBI's previous employees.
After heading down Texas to join forces with Lisbon's (Robin Tunney) new FBI team during episode 14, "Grey Water," the couple's investigation will take an unexpected turn when Van Pelt is abducted in episode 15, "White as the Driven Snow."
When the team's lead suspect gives an airtight alibi, the situation begins to look grim. Unfortunately somebody will head to the hospital before the case has run its course. Could Van Pelt meet a tragic end?
Rigsby's young son, Ben (Derek Dinniene), will also feature in the episode.

6x15 "White as the Driven Snow": Simon Baker’s Jane set to save Van Pelt? (spoilers, synopsis)
For those of you who love color-coordinated episodes of “The Mentalist,” stop and think about this for a minute. The show’s first new episode in over a month Sunday night is entitled “Black Helicopters,” and following that, we have another installment called “Grey Water.”
So moving into the third episode back on March 23, it only seems appropriate that we would move up to the next progression on the brightness scale with “White As the Drive Show.” We know that the writers love doing their color titles and have since the days of the original Red John case, but there is something more here in that these episodes are all tied together thanks to a larger story arc: An attempt by Jane to figure out just what is happening to some of the former members of the CBI. If you want to find out some more information on this subject, we suggest just taking a look at the full synopsis below (with a warning for some plot spoilers).
So basically, what you get out of this is that we are set to see the Van Pelt character as a kidnapping victim on this episode. Should you really be that surprised? We don’t think so, largely because you had to figure that at some point, there was going to be someone who ended up falling victim to some of this.

Patrick Jane wants a tank (6x13)
Are you ready for “The Mentalist” to return to TV? Well after a pretty long delay, Patrick Jane is going to be back in action starting on Sunday night with “Black Helicopters,” an episode that features Mexico, underground tunnels, and requests for both helicopters and a tank.
This is also the first time that we have seen Lisbon featured (albeit briefly) in any promotional material for the show in quite a long time. What is she up to? She seems firmly situated back in Austin rather than being out on the ground, where she could be encountering all sorts of violence. This may just be a coincidence, though, for this scene, and not anything that should be read into on a significant level.
As for what we can tell you about the larger case here, Van Pelt and Rigsby will be back once again for this story, as they try to figure out just what in the world is causing former CBI members to be targeted in nefarious ways. For now, this seems to be the more Red John-esque long-form storyline of the show. We’re not saying by any means that anyone is going to be killed a la Red John, but it is something that should definitely be considered.
This is the first of many new “Mentalist” episodes that will be airing the rest of the spring. One advantage to being off the air so long, after all, is that you get to run for many weeks in a row.

6x13: Simon Baker and a ‘Black Helicopters’ tease
What in the world is Patrick Jane up to when “The Mentalist”
returns to CBS? The next new episode on March 9 is entitled “Black
Helicopters,” and we have a few more details now about what you can
expect. Specifically, it involves Patrick Jane, Mexico, and the world’s
smallest mug.
This picture really wants you to know that the setting is in Mexico, in between the Spanish advertisement and also the fashion. Just in case you missed the synopsis from when we posted it a while back, it further proves our point regarding Jane’s whereabouts:
Here’s the question: Do you think that Jane is going to be an exceptional asset in Mexico thanks to his time he spent in Latin America after the Red John case? While in one way we see it being possible, another suggests not so much. He never really fit in to that world even when he was living there, though he did at least have a few assorted friends.
In addition to the regular mission, we also understand that one of the other big questions right now and issues is regarding the whereabouts of Lisbon, who isn’t really mentioned or seen in some of the promotional material that is out there. What’s the reason for that? We want to assume that it has something to do with her story being intentionally a mystery, given that there may be some things that the writers / producers are trying to surprise us with. The same goes for what she could be doing in “Grey Water,” which you can read some more details about at this link.

Cowboy kid! Simon Baker rocks a stetson hat on set of The Mentalist
He was born in Australia, but on Wednesday Simon Baker looked about ready to wave around the red, white and blue flag.
The actor was snapped on Wednesday sporting a navy blue suit and a brown cowboy hat.
The reason for the very American look is the 44-year-old was on set of his hit television series The Mentalist, which is currently going through a creative overhaul.
And while Simon was on set, his Mentalist co-star Robin Tunney enjoyed a day off, seen in LA having a coffee.
